I Global Peace Conference 2017

Theme: View to Peacebuilding, Security and Human Rights in Modern World

 29-31 May, 2017

Baar, Switzerland

The mission of the I Global Peace Conference 2017 is to create unique global platform to bring together the leaders and activists from all over the world countries to exchange ideas, knowledge, practices and experiences on how to build a more peaceful world, how to foster dialogue between the different people and inspire people to give contribution to the global peace, security and human rights where their live and work.

Mr. Fakhrinur Huseynli the Director of IPD

A finding in peace studies: Violence, wars seem to have two important root causes:  unconciled traumas calling for revenge, and unsolved conflicts inviting aggression.

To avoid or reduce violence identify the traumas and conflict, concile, and solve.

Prof. Johan Galtung the Honorary Speaker of I Global Peace Conference 2017

This Conference is timely because of the ongoing conflicts in the world, their interrelated root causes, and the risk of their escalation towards an uncontrollable catastrophe.

Mr. Marc Finaud the Speaker of I Global Peace Conference 2017

The IPD Global Peace Conference invites national and international governance institutions, policy makers, development practitioners, research institutions, private organizations and governments to reflect on today's peacebuilding, security and human rights agendas.

Mr. Marrone Andrea the Speaker of I Global Peace Conference 2017

Throughout history, the most important themes for mankind were peace and security. Have we made some progress in this matter, can we expect less wars and more safety in the near future - let's discover it during the Conference

Mr. Aleksandar Weisne the Speaker of I Global Peace Conference 2017

Sustainable Development Goals have included the promotion of just, peaceful and inclusive societies. Though prevention and overcoming of conflicts are fully needed, this conference will be an extraordinary opportunity to look at what peace will be and, beyond the entrenchment of conflicts, at what policies and tools are needed to enjoy lasting peace.

Mr. Christophe Barbey the Speaker of I Global Peace Conference 2017

PREFACE

IPD is very glad to announce it`s I Global Peace Conference 2017: Theme “View to Peacebuilding, Security and Human Rights in Modern World” during the 29 - 31 May 2017 which will place in Baar, Switzerland.

This conference will promote deeper understanding of behave with tolerance, friendly coexistence of different religions, races and nations in the same community, respect each other in family, work place, society, school and etc.

Contemporary challenges to peacebuilding, security and human rights such as terrorism, cyber-crimes, hybrid warfare, scientific and societal responses and etc. valuable themes, are among the topics of the conference. Facing these challenges requires dialogue and collaboration between various disciplines within academia, as well as between academia and other stakeholders in the state, public and private sector building coexistence and social cohesion. Such collaborations raise new questions and dilemmas, for instance about roles and responsibilities of national, regional and international stakeholders.

Most of the important questions of the Conference is How to reduce violence-war by solving underlying conflict and conciling underlying trauma? What Role for State- and Non-State Actors in Reducing Human Suffering through Arms Control?  How to envision peace and human rights to design comprehensive peace policies? The security approach for civilian protection: What kind of interventions in fragile, failed and failing nation-states? Do We Have Technologies to Face with New Challenges for Peace and Security, How is the international community engaging in the responsibility to protect civilians? Is there any progress securing civilians from war, violence and crime? What is the current interaction between security forces and civilian capacity during humanitarian intervention?
